

Prologue of an EpilogueDepression is a curious feeling. It can induce people to do unusual acts. Suicide being the most confounding of them all. I've considered it myself, planned it out to the most minute details and then became bored with the concept. I had written the end to my own story and the thought dulled as I realized I knew how it was all going to end. No matter how dramatic or picturesque the script it still felt like I was acting out some inordinate play. I want to be waylaid by death; wide awake and seized by it. I want the grim reaper to pop out of a box and shout "Surprise! You're dead!" Then all of my old dead friends would surround me and cheer asPrologue of an Epilogue

Thread The InterludeFluttering in the lashes of clouds the skies yellow eye began to fall asleep. The cheeks of the horizon blushed with a fervent glow as the last deep breathes of evening sighed against the chain linked fence that cut the sky into a silver thatch weave. Gazing out beyond the metal lens, he leaned against the cold rustling wall that caged him from a four story descent. A quiet aria rang in his ears as the wind clawed at his clothing. He stood motionless against the drowsy sunlight as he thought to himself "again nothing has changed." The squeal of aged hinges disturbed his tranquility as a stuttered shrill shattered the melody.
